Assam Science festival was held on February 27th and 28th at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Panjabari, Guwahati. This festival was held to showcase the science, technology and innovative activities of departments and institutions. Shishu Sarothi was also provided with a stall/cubicle for the exhibition which was used for the purpose of creating awareness among the public about the different assistive devices and software’s used by the person with disability while working on computer system. Along with AT devices there were stalls for Art and craft and on science experiment like on Water cycle, Germination of seeds.

On the 2nd day, Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, visited our stall. Firstly the members of Shishu Sarothi gave a brief description about Shishu Sarothi; what services we provide to the person with disability and what assistive devices and software we use in computer to make their work easier.

After the conclusion of the 2nd day of the exhibition, all the stall participants from Shishu Sarothi were given a Certificate of Appreciation.

On the 2nd day the children of Shishu Sarothi also performed a skit. The invitation about the performance was given to Shishu Sarothi by Assam Science Technology and Environmental Council. The name of the skit was “Save trees, save earth”. Around 17 students along with the staff members had performed on the stage which was appreciated by all the viewers. The skit was directed by Mr. Rajiv Kumar Saud.
