Little Forhan Ali, was brought to our Early Intervention Outreach Program at Goalpara (Supported by SESTA), when he was just a little over a year old in June 2018. Abandoned by his father, Forhan is being raised single handedly by his mother. He has Cerebral Palsy with associated problems of poor vision (tracking and focussing) and no speech.
When Forhan first arrived at Shishu Sarothi, he could just sit up and barely stand with support. We have been giving him intensive therapy and stimulation for the last 6 months, and also advising his mother on managing his condition. Last week, we were delighted to find that our efforts are showing results, when Forhan started walking independently and seems to be enjoying his therapy sessions too.
